Gays to Marry, Parades Everywhere

I hope to gawd that society here in Canada can finally move on now that the so-called same-sex legislation has finally been passed here in Canada. Of course as long as Mr. Harper leads his party down the religious-righteous path to ruin, the issue may take years to die out. How about we move on to doing something with health care, PLEASE.

Regardless of this outcome, the backwater below us will continue to make news of this issue. In Hillsborough, Florida, the elected officials there banned the county from recognizing gay pride. County Commissioner Kathy Castor was the only dissenting vote adding, "I think it's inappropriate for government to promote discrimination." Here, here Kathy! A voice in the wilderness however.

Comments:
Even though I supported the SSM legislationit did have far too big a role in our lives and our politicians lives. Let's please move on.

As for the Florida thing, man those people are messed up.

We need more Quebecers to move to Florida to tip the political scales... and make it the seperatist ones so it tips our scales too!

I wonder if they should've called it the S&M legislation? ;o)
