The Definition of Family
So how does one define a family? I didn't think it was an overly difficult but then there seems to be many folks up in arms over that very question. I am, of course, referring to the push for equal family rights for gay couples. It seems to me that alot of people are using religion, whether they are religious or not, to point out that the family unit as defined somehow in the bible is under attack. Indeed, our very survival may depend it they say. Ads with a mother and father and the children graced our national newspapers recently attacking the very notion that a family might not be exactly as pictured. And let's be honest, how many really are?
I found this luvly site while searching Google for a definition knowing I would get some odd sites. Marriage is being attacked in Ohio it seems as it is everywhere else. They're urg'in all Buckeyes to send in a petition to stop the insanity. Last but not least and as it seems to be the case with alot of this kinda stuff, they ask you to pray and I quote .... "History shows that acceptance of same-sex relationships and the consequent weakening of marriage and family have been the final steps in the self-destruction of once great nations. Pray for our nation, for marriage, for family, for our religious freedom, and for those trapped in a lifestyle of same-sex attraction."
Hmmmmm ... Me thinks that a great number of these folks are using religion to thinly veil they're own bigotry. Hallelujah
